Angie's reputation and racing career are unique not because
she is a woman, but due to the fact that she has won at almost
every track where she competes. From go-carts to stock cars,
from dirt to asphalt, Angie has managed to bring home a win.
"It's a promise and kind of a bet that my father and I have
with each other. We want to win at each track we race, and I'm
glad to say we have." The race crew never advances into a
new area of racing until Angie and the team have won a few races
and feel they have done well in the division. Harold Wilson,
team owner, feels that this gives the team something to strive
for each year. Clear goals help the team stay focused on the
series at hand.
Many people assume that Angie projects the image of a tomboy or
racer "wanna-be". However, if you watch the manner in
which she carries herself, you will discover a smart young lady
who is not just one of the guys. Fans, especially children,
respond well to Angie's quiet, confident manner. |
